Nippon Gases supplies gases for the industrial market. Examples include gas in cylinders delivered to the customer by truck, or gas supplied directly via a pipeline. — for large consumers. Nippon Gases operates in the region of Belgium, the Netherlands, and France and serves many different sectors: from mobility and food to chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and biotech.
Charging at work and at home
“Nippon Gases offers customers solutions to operate more sustainably,” says Johan Desmet, Business Director BNL. “We also want to encourage that sustainability internally, for example by making our vehicle fleet greener.” Employees are expected to set an example and are therefore increasingly driving hybrid or electric vehicles. To facilitate this, Nippon Gases approached Blulinc. The company wanted two things: charging stations in the company car park and charging stations at employees’ homes.
Beautiful and smooth final product
Johan Desmet: “Personally, I find it very convenient. Every two to three days I charge my car at home and then I can keep going for a few more days. Other employees also indicate that they have overcome their initial doubts. — 'Will I get far enough?' — could let go of that thanks to charging solutions at work and at home.
I want to be part of that future of fully electric driving.
— Ralf Joris, global cylinder tracking specialist Nippon Gases
Ralf Joris, an employee at Nippon Gases, is satisfied with his Blulinc charging station at home. “The product Blulinc delivers fits nicely into the surroundings, which I appreciate.” Account manager Kathleen Sels is also full of praise: “Something unusual is hanging on your facade. It was good that Blulinc came for a site visit first, among other things to check if we had the right electrical connections. Blulinc’s advice was useful, and from there, things basically went smoothly.” A sentiment that director Johan Desmet confirms: “The collaboration with Blulinc went very smoothly.”
The driving comfort of electric driving — the smooth shifting, the quiet operation — is very big.”
