How does Smart Charging work and how do I set it up?
Smart Charging ensures that you automatically charge during off-peak hours or when there is a surplus of solar energy. You can easily set it up via the app by selecting preferences for charging periods.
What is Boost Charging and how often can I use it?
- Boost Charging temporarily increases the charging power for faster charging times. You can enable this at any time via the app, without restrictions on how often you use it.
Can I fully monitor my energy consumption and costs via the app?
Yes, the onzee app provides detailed reports on energy consumption, costs, and charging times, giving you full control over your charging process.
What is Peak Shaving and how does it save me energy costs?
- Peak Shaving reduces peak consumption by adjusting charging capacity during energy peaks. This helps minimize your energy costs.
Can I always solve problems with my charging station via the app?
In many cases, yes. With the reset function, you can easily restart your charging station via the app, which often resolves minor issues without technical assistance. If you do need help, do not hesitate to contact our support service via support@blulinc.com
Does Boost Charging also work at other charging stations or only at home?
Boost Charging is exclusively for home chargers managed via the Blulinc app. This feature is not available at public charging stations.
How safe is the locking function for my charging cable?
The lock function in the app ensures that you can securely lock your charging cable, so that it cannot be disconnected or stolen without your permission.
Are there activation costs if I become a Blulinc customer?
- For our "Blu Basic" plan, there is a one-time activation fee of 99 euros excl. VAT, with a minimum duration of 12 months.
- For our "Blu Premium", "Split billing", and "Blu Public" plans, the activation cost is €199 excluding VAT per charging point with a minimum duration of 24 months.
- For the configuration and activation of your DC charging point, there is a cost of 349 euros excluding VAT, with a duration of 24 months.
Why do I have to pay activation costs?
At Blulinc, we take care of everything for these costs. We ensure that your charging point(s) are configured correctly, the right rates are set, and they become active on all platforms and external apps.
Are there any costs if I leave Blulinc?
Naturally, we never like to see you leave, but should that happen, you must take into account the costs for disconnecting your charging stations;

How much mark-up does Blulinc charge?
For AC charging, we charge a maximum markup of 10%, excluding roaming costs.
For DC charging, we charge a maximum markup of 15% excluding roaming costs.
What are "roaming charges"
Roaming costs are the costs charged to Blulinc via a roaming hub that provides the connection to a specific e-MSP. These costs vary between 5 and 10%.
When are roaming costs charged?
When a visitor uses an external charging card to charge at your charging point, roaming charges apply. These roaming charges allow various charging card providers to charge at your location. These costs can vary by provider.
How is the price at a charging point determined?
The final price per kWh is determined by the charging card provider used by the visitor. This includes:
- The cost for the supplied energy set by the charging station owner.
- The cost for enabling "roaming" that must be paid mutually between the charge station operator (CPO) and the charge card provider (e-MSP), in many cases a percentage of the total price.
- The margin your charging card provider takes on top of the energy price + roaming costs.
